1. No use of alcohol or mood-altering
chemicals whether on or off premises.
2. No physical harm or threats of
violence.
3. No changing of rooms without
approval of The Woodard Recovery House for Women Director.
4. No lending or borrowing money from
residents.
5. You may use your own cell phone.
There is only one phone in The Woodard Recovery house for Women. You
must have a long distance card to place long distance calls. Calls
must be limited to 15 minutes with a 15 minute break before your
next call so that others may have access to the phone.
6. Residents will share household
duties as assigned.
7. Residents will maintain acceptable
personal hygiene at all times. This includes bathing at least once a
day.
8. Residents will be fully dressed in
community areas at all times.
9. Smoking will take place outside
the residence in designated areas.
10. Always be courteous to others and
look for ways to improve your spirituality by being selfless in your
interactions with other house residents.
11. Residents will attend a mandatory
house meeting each Wednesday and Sunday at 6:00 pm. If they cannot
attend, it will be the resident's responsibility to read and initial
the minutes of the meeting.
12. Residents will attend (90) AA/NA
Meetings their first 90 days. Thereafter, residents will attend at
least (4) AA/NA Meetings per week.
13. Residents will at all times have
a home group and a sponsor. Residents must contact their sponsor at
least 4 times weekly.
14. Residents will sign out when
leaving the house, giving destination, and sign in upon return.
15. Curfew: 10:00 pm Sunday -
Thursday, 12:00 am Friday and Saturday.
16. There will be no overnight passes
for residents during their first 7 days.
17. No overnight visitors at any
time.
18. No weapons of any kind will be
allowed on premises.
19. No gambling of any kind will be
allowed on premises.
20. No pets.
21. No possession of alcohol,
addictive drugs or drug paraphernalia on your person, neither in the
house nor your automobile.
22. Discipline and structure will be
used as primary vehicles to experience responsibility, freedom,
love, balance, growth, and positive life-style changes. All
residents must accept the discipline and structure.
23. Residents must respect each
other's rights and property. Any stealing may result in immediate
expulsion from The Woodard Recovery House for Women.
24. All residents should do something
of lasting value, something extra to enhance the residents. Ask for
suggestions of what you may do at house meetings.
25. Residents must follow through on
all treatment commitments.
26. Turn all lights, radios, and
television off when leaving your bedroom and leaving the house when
all other residents are gone.
27. Thermostats must not be set lower
than 72 degrees in warm weather and no higher than 74 degrees in
cold weather. Also, when all residents are gone during the day in
warm weather, set air conditioner to 78 degrees.
28. Each resident will be assigned a
house duty during the Sunday house meeting. The house director will
make these assignments on a rotating basis. Each resident must take
full responsibility for her assignment(s) and complete this task
without prompting from the house director or other residents.
29. Daily reading program literature;
Primarily the Big Book and 12 x 12. Prayer or meditation is required
at least twice daily.
30. Work the 12 steps of Alcoholics
Anonymous. Your Sponsor should be able to verify this.
31. Each resident will be responsible
for her own groceries and toiletries. She should label her food
before storing it in the cabinets or refrigerator. Each resident
must respect each others' food and eat only food that has her
personal label on it. Taking others' food is theft and grounds for
dismissal from the house. Each resident will contribute $10 a week
for mutual supplies. The House Director will collect $10 from each
resident at the Sunday house meeting. She is responsible for the
safe keeping of this fund and will either purchase the supplies
herself, or assign a house resident to do so. Receipts will show
each purchase and be turned in to the House Director.
32. Fees are required in advance.
Fees are not refundable under any circumstance. Deposits are
returned upon satisfactory completion of your stay at The Woodard
Recovery House and verification that you have not damaged the
property. Any relapse, unapproved discharge, or dismissal for
violating The Woodard Recovery House rules will result in loss of
your deposit. You must maintain current payment of all fees.
§ Fees: On Admission a Damage and
Security deposit of $200 is required, and will not be refunded if
the resident leaves prior to completing the recommended stay or
leaves without House Director approval.
§ Monthly Thereafter - May be paid
by the 5th day of each month - $600/mo. • Weekly payment - Must be
paid each Friday - $150/week.
§ Any exceptions to this payment
schedule MUST be approved by The Woodard Recovery House Director.
33. Woodard Recovery House is a
spiritual environment. All posters, pictures, sounds, magazines, and
decorations are positive and affirming. Any resident providing
decorations or sounds require House Director approval.
34. Profanity is a sign of anger and
lack of spiritual growth. Profanity is not looked upon as a positive
attribute. Refrain from excessive use of profanity.
35. Each resident is responsible for
leaving the bathroom clean following each use. This means cleaning
up around the sink and the tub, hanging up towels, and putting
toothbrush and personal items away.
36. Woodard Recovery House residents
go to bed at a reasonable time. All music and televisions must be
off and residents in their rooms by 11 :00 pm Sunday thru Thursday
and 1:00 am Friday and Saturday. Exceptions require Director's
approval.
37. Residents who cannot attend
scheduled Woodard Recovery House meetings must submit the reason in
writing to the Director. Reasons for missing meetings will be
discussed at Woodard Recovery House community meetings and assessed
for validity and necessity.
38. Woodard Recovery House family
members are responsible for their own transportation at all times.
39. Residents are expected to have
room clean, bed made, dressed, and out of their bedroom by 9:00 am
Monday through Friday.
40. Dress appropriately at all times.
You will not be allowed to wear clothing that is suggestive in any
form or fashion.
41. I understand that I am subject to
be asked for a random urine drug screen on any day, and that I must
present it to the Woodard House Director that day. This has to be
done at an approved lab facility. I understand that I am responsible
for the cost of the screen. Failure to submit a screen will be
grounds for dismissal from the house.
42. No food will be allowed anywhere
in the house except in the dining room and kitchen area. Drinks are
allowed in the living room, please use a coaster for your drinks
outside the kitchen area.
43. Personal items left for very long
in community areas may eventually become community property. Don't
leave your things lying around and clutter up our house. You have a
place for all your belongings. Put It in its place every day when
your through with it.
44. Visitors are not allowed on any
Woodard Recovery House property for any reason without approval from
the Director. This includes sponsors and family. No visitors of the
opposite sex, nonresidents, or children 12 years or younger are
allowed in the bedroom areas at any time without prior approval of
the House Director. All children must be supervised at all times by
you and no one else. All guest must sign in. Guest must understand
and honor our standards. It is your responsibility to properly
inform them of our standards. Inability of your guests to follow our
standards will result in them being asked to leave, and will prevent
their future return. Woodard Recovery House is not liable for your
guests.
45. Glorifying any negative behavior
is strictly prohibited. We live in the SOLUTION, not the problem; in
recovery, not in old behavior. At Woodard Recovery House you will be
expected, in the very least, to fake a positive attitude!
46. Beds must be made before leaving
your room. Sheets need to be washed at least once a week. Bedroom
doors will remain open until 9 pm. All naps will be taken above the
covers and for no more than two hours with your door left open. No
napping in community areas.
47. Woodard Recovery House residents
using the washer and dryer should remain on the premises until
completion of whole cycle. The dryer filters must be cleaned between
each use. The washers and dryers are for The Woodard Recovery House
residents only!
48. Be early for all house meetings
and to your AA meetings. Always contribute money at AA meetings for
the seventh tradition (AA is self-supporting through our own
contributions).
49. Do not discuss details about the
Woodard Recovery House or details of other Woodard House residents
at AA meetings.
50. The Woodard House Director must
be notified of all medications you are taking (including
prescriptions). Any changes in this must be accepted by the House
Manager before the change occurs. NO EXCEPTIONS! Nondisclosure of
this may result in expulsion.
51. New residents should bring food
for one week, sheets, blankets and mattress cover for a twin bed,
and toiletries. Storage is limited.
52. Only the House Director will
issue overnight passes. Overnight passes must be submitted to the
House Director and approved by the Director a minimum of 24 hours in
advance. You' will still be held responsible to maintain your house
standards, duties and chores while on pass. You must obtain a signed
note from another resident who has agreed to handle those duties in
your absence and present that note to the House Director before
leaving on pass.
53. The Woodard Recovery House
community has rules concerning parking of your vehicle and your
guests' vehicles. Please ask your House Director about these rules.
There will be no car repair projects that last more than two hrs.
permitted. These must be scheduled and pre-approved by the Director.
Car washing is restricted to weekends only. Residents must supply
all washing materials.
54. All residents and their visitors
are subject to search of themselves, their room, their belongings,
and vehicles at any time, or for any reason, by the House Manger or
Director. Anyone possessing any illegal substances or anything that
breaks our standards, or the laws governing our state or federal
government, may be asked to leave and the proper authorities may be
notified.
55. GED, other counseling services,
job obtaining assistance and other services are not provided by
Woodard Recovery House, but are readily available in our community.
For assistance in locating these services, please see your House
Manger or Director.
56. If you have certain health
problems that require special needs or assistance, please let us
know during your application process so that we may obtain the
necessary things needed to assist you before you arrive. If we can't
meet your requirements, we will let you know. The Woodard Recovery
House, LLC is not responsible for your medical bills or medication.
If you are in outpatient at Palmetto
Addiction Recovery Center, you may make an appointment to
see one of the physicians regarding your treatment of your substance
or psychiatric disorder. For other medical issues, it is your
responsibility to locate a family physician or specialist to take
care of your medical needs. lf you experience a medical emergency,
call 911 for help. If you require an ambulance for an emergency, you
will be responsible for the ambulance bill.
57. You should listen to your radio
or music player with a headset. Exceptions may be made by House
Director for special events or situations.
58. Any resident may be asked to move
out at any time for lack of attention to The Woodard Recovery House
rules. This may be done by the Director, or by a majority vote of
all the residents of the recovery house.
59. In addition to daily chores, when
you make a mess, i. e. dripping coffee, tracking in mud, etc.,
please promptly clean it up. If you need assistance, ask!
60. Your room, closets, personal
items, and automobile are subject to inspection. This must be done
by at least two people: A. The Woodard House Director and one
resident, OR
B. The House Manager and Woodard
House Director.
61. The Director must approve your
job.
62. Be willing to give freely of the
gifts you have received as a result of recovery.
63. You are welcome to bring your
laptop to the Recovery House. Wireless DSL is available in the
house.
64. You will be issued one house key.
A fee of $10 will be charged for a replacement key.
65. Only one vehicle is allowed per
person. No ATVs, boats or trailers on the premises. An ATV may be
kept in the back of a pickup truck, but cannot be removed from the
truck at the Recovery House.
66. Absolutely no open flames,
burning of incense, or candles in the Recovery House. Any matches
lit outdoors must be completely out before discarding. No open fires
or burning of trash, leaves or straw. The only fire allowed is in
the barbecue pit and it must be fully extinguished with water after
grilling (not left to burn out).
67. Verbal, telephone or physical
contact with any person of the opposite sex will be grounds for
immediate dismissal from The Woodard Recovery House.
I have read and accept all of the
rules and conditions set forth by The Woodard Recovery House for
Women. I understand that I am liable for all damages incurred by me
to the property while residing at The Woodard Recovery House. I
understand that the conditions of residing at The Woodard Recovery
House are that I totally abstain from use of any alcohol or mood
altering / addictive drugs, I also understand that the Director of
The Woodard Recovery House For Women may dismiss me from living in
the house for any behavior or activities that are deemed a detriment
to the recovery house or the other residents living in the house.
